It seems that Asus Taiwan will be released the new Eee PC 901 UMPC. The company adds in a new row of buttons between the keyboard and battery and a power plug on the left side. The price tag and specifications of the Gigabyte M528 Mobile Internet Device (MID) has been unveiled. Measuring 6 inch x 3.2 inch x 0.9 inch, the gadget comes equipped with a slide out 47 key back lit keyboard, a 800MHz Intel Atom processor, 512MB RAM, 4 or 8GB SSD, HSDPA 3G wireless module, and a 3060MAh battery which should give at least a 4hours of battery life. NEC today introduced a new VersaPro VE laptop that comes with an “Eco Button”. Using this button, it will decrease energy consumption by 20% by reducing the CPU speed and screen brightness. MSI today announced the price tag of its new Wind ultra portable laptop. This Eee PC competitor is priced at $399. FYI, the UMPC runs on Novell SUSE Linux operating system and features 512MB RAM, a 80GB hard drive. Meanwhile, the 1GB RAM and Windows XP version retails for $549. Eurocom will be releasing their Xeon-based laptop called the D901C Phantom-X. It features a 2.8GHz Quad Core XEON X3360 processor, 1.5 terabytes of storage with three SATA-300 hard drives (complete with various RAID options), 8GB of DDR2-800 memory, a Blu-ray burner, and a 17-inch display. The 2133 XP Mini Note by HP now has a price. The 1.2GHz rig with 1GB of RAM and a 120GB disk goes for $729, while the upgrade of 1.6GHz, 2GB of RAM and a 160GB disk goes for about $819. Expect to see both on shelves next week. [Engadget via Laptop Blog ]

The tablet PC supports IP55 requirements compliance and is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 1.06GHz processor, 12.1 inch display with LED backlight and brightness level of 750cd/m2 (XGA resolution), 512MB RAM (upgradeable up to 4GB) and touch screen functionality. Mobo will be dropping two new laptops in Brazil. The first one is the Mobo Postitive which features a 7-inch display, Via C7-M processor, 1.3-megapixel webcam, and built-in wifi along with 2GB of flash memory. The other is the Mobo Kids laptop with a Celeron M processor and all the same features of the CTL’s 2go PC. They start at about $999 or $590. Toshiba will finally be dropping the M-800 Portege laptop Quarter 3 in Europe.
