VAIO VGN-AR11S - The Blu-ray VAIO

Sony Vaio VGN-AR11S Blu-ray Laptop

Pocket Lint wrote a review of VAIO VGN-AR11S:

An Intel Core Duo T2500 processor, which is a dual-core processor running each core at 2GHz and supported by a gigabyte of DDR2 memory means you editing as well as running Hi-Def footage isn’t too much of a chore and following on with the dual theme, you’ll even find a pair of 100GB hard drives so storage isn’t a problem either. Graphics are handled by the Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 GT chip, which is a powerful mainstream solution that will more than handle your gaming needs. High-speed networks can be accessed via 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet. Enhancing multimedia use, an HDMI-out port can be used to connect to external high-definition displays, and a Dolby 7.1 digital out can link to amplifiers for full surround sound.

Feature includes two integrated speakers, built-in camera and microphone, FireWire port, S-Video port, Memory card slots, coaxial cable, remote control, and DVI adapter. Pocket Lint via Laptops@TechFresh.

Review: Fujitsu LifeBook T4210 Core Duo Tablet PC

Review Of Fujitsu LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC with Core Duo

There is a review of Fujitsu LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC at TabletPC2 which said:

Powered by the Intel® Core™ Duo Processor, along with the enhanced functionality of Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, the LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC combines the convenience and familiarity of a notebook with the powerful and versatile functionality of a slate Tablet PC. In conventional notebook mode, the LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC offers a keyboard for typing. Rotate and fold the screen down and the LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC transforms into a tablet configuration for pen-driven navigation through forms, or use the stylus to make handwritten notes and drawings with digital ink. The enhanced stylus of the LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC includes two buttons and a built-in eraser for added convenience. The stylus and active digitizer continue to work in the notebook configuration.

In addition, this Tablet PC is equipped with a 12.1-inch XGA display which offers greater than a 160 degree viewing angle both vertically and horizontally. It has up to 6.5 hours of battery life with the main battery or up to 11 hours with dual batteries. For the connectivity, the tablet PC is equipped with an integrated Ethernet LAN, modem, a Wi-Fi Certified wireless LAN (802.11a/b/g) or optional Atheros Super AG® wireless LAN. Toshiba Satellite M105-S3011

Toshiba Satellite M105-S3011

PC Magazine writes a review of the Toshiba Satellite M105-S3011:

The M105-S3011 carries the same 1.67-GHz Intel Core Duo T2300 processor as the Dell E1505 and the Acer 4202WLMi. Even in this budget price range, this dual-core CPU is what you should want. The system also comes with 512MB of RAM, and though that may be okay today, I strongly suggest getting 1GB. The integrated graphics will need some of that to run, and when you upgrade to Windows Vista, perhaps next year, you’ll be happy you have the extra memory. Though the Satellite doesn’t have the longest battery life of the value laptops (Acer wins that award), it ran for 3 hours 38 minutes, which isn’t too shabby either. On my multimedia tests, its Adobe Photoshop scores were about 40 seconds slower because of its smaller memory, but its Microsoft Windows Media encoder tests were on a par with the other two comparable systems.

In addition, the M105-S3011 is one of the lightest budget Core Duo notebooks on the market which supports SRS TruSurround sound technology, 14.1-inch TruBrite widescreen, and has a FireWire port. For more info and product comparison, visit PC Magazine. Via Laptops@TechFresh.

If you have Dell laptop, you must be careful with it. Dell is investigating a report of an exploded Dell laptop at a conference in Japan this week. It is said:

The damn thing was on fire and produced several explosions for more than five minutes.
