
VIA has recently unveiled the Nano 3000 series processors, which are actually a competitor to the Intel Atom CPUs. Based on the 64-bit superscalar ‘Isaiah’ architecture, the VIA Nano CPUs support several advanced features including 64-bit support, advanced CPU virtualization technology, SSE4 for enhanced multimedia processing, and the industry-leading encryption and security capabilities integrated in the VIA PadLock Security Engine. The LPC-395F is the latest fanless mini PC from Stealth that adopts Intel’s energy efficient Atom N270 processor technology. Measuring at only 6.54-inch x 6.18-inch x 1.89-inch, the computer comes with a rugged aluminum chassis, a 2GB of RAM, dual Gigabit Ethernet, an optional WiFi, and a built-in compact flash card slot that can be used to boot the PC. Elsa has released another low-profile graphics card in Japan that features a PCIe x1 connection interface. Dubbed as the Gladiac 210 LP x1, the card integrates 16 Processing Cores, a 512MB of DDR2 VRAM, a 64-bit memory interface and has GPU/shader/memory clock of 589/1360/1000MHz. Lenovo has added a new all-in-one desktop PC to its range by releasing the A70z. Targeted towards business users, the A70z is equipped with a 19-inch 16:10 widescreen LCD monitor, choices of Intel Core 2 Duo through Celeron Dual Core processors, up to 500GB hard drive, a DVD Multi Burner, two audio speakers, six USB 2.0 ports and Windows 7 OS. Maingear today unveiled a new range of PCs, called the Maingear Shift. This personal supercomputer is currently available in two models including the SHIFT Intel P55 and the SHIFT Intel X58. The former model comes with an Intel Core I7 800 series processor, an Intel Kingsberg P55 Extreme Series motherboard, ATI Radeon or nVidia GeForce graphics cards, and up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM. Meanwhile, the latter model features an Intel Core i7 900 series processor, the choice of either ATI Radeon HD and nVidia GeForce graphics cards, an EVGA X58 SLI Classified motherboard, and up to 24GB of DDR3 RAM. Both versions feature an aluminum case with a steel skeleton, an advanced liquid cooling system, the choice of up to 6 hard drives or 12 SSDs, and either a Blu-ray or DVD burner. Akasa has rolled out its latest mid-tower PC case for the mass market called the Freedom Xone. Measuring 445mm x 200mm x 482mm, this steel case features a mesh front panel, four exposed 5.25-inch bays, a top-placed I/O panel with audio, eSATA and USB ports and provides tool free installation and easy access to components.
