If you love the beautiful space saving design of the Mac mini but either don’t like Apple or don’t have the cash to buy one, here’s some good news. A bunch of folks are rebranding AOpen’s MiniPC and bundling it with a pre-installed Linux-based OS. The Koala Mini comes with Ubuntu and sells for $499, while the Linspire Mini based on their own Linspire OS sells for about $399. Or you can always get the barebones from AOpen for ~$250 to $300 if you want to save some cash. Via Gizmodo.

LiteOn EZ-Dub Burner

SHM-165P6SU is an external (LiteOn) burner that has a DUB and COPY button. Slide in a source CD/DVD into the drive, hit DUB, go and have a coffe, come back 5 minutes later, insert a blank CD/DVD and there you go! The COPY function enables you to copy all the files from a specific folder on your computer onto a CD/DVD that you have inserted in the drive. Supported drives: DVD+-R/RW, DL and RAM.
