Elecom Japan today introduced a new digital picture frame. Dubbed as the Elecom DPF-A8WM10 or “Un Photoalbum”, the gadget has an 8-inch (1280×768) LED-backlight display, a 2GB of internal memory, an SDXC card slot, an HDMI out, USB 2.0 and USB OTG. Samsung To Produce 7-inch AMOLED Display With Higher Resolution

Samsung Mobile Display will develop a new 7-inch AMOLED display with a higher resolution. The upcoming AMOLED display will feature a resolution of 1024×768. As a comparison, the previous AMOLED display has a resolution of 1024×600. The company has also confirmed that they will not launch any tablet with high resolution AMOLED screen this year. Sony To Release S-Frame Gift Series

Sony has introduced three new digital photo frames from its S-Frame Gift series. The Sony DPF-C1000, C800, and C70A offer WSVGA-, SVGA- and WQVGA-resolution viewing panels, respectively. These digital photo frames provide an integrated speaker, a picture slideshow mode, a clock/calendar display mode, and an energy-saving timer. Additionally, the Sony DPF-C1000, C800, and C70A are also compatible with Memory Stick Pro Duo and SD(HC) memory cards. The Sony S-Frame Gift series will be launched in September 2011. Pix-Star WiFi-enabled 10.4-inch Digital Picture Frame

Pix-Star has recently introduced the FotoConnect HD (PXT510WR02) WiFi-enabled digital picture frame. The gadget features a 10.4-inch (800×600) LED display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Using Wi-Fi connectivity, the digital picture frame connects the Internet to access online albums from over 20 providers including Picasa, Facebook, Smugmug, Shutterfly, FlickR, and MobileMe. Another major innovation with the FotoConnect HD is the full support for UPnP-DLNA, making it the first digital photo frame to offer this feature. Users who want to display photos from a Mac, PC or compatible NAS server (UPnP) can do so with no image transfer involved. Users simply activate photo streaming through the Pix-Star menu, browse the available computers on the local network and immediately display the photo gallery stored inside. Elecom Decor Interieur Digital Photo Frame Series

Elecom Japan is back with a new digital photo frame. Known as the “Decor Interieur” DPF-X7WT10 series, the gadget comes equipped with a wooden frame, a 7-inch (800×480) display screen, a LED backlight, an SDHC card slot and a USB port.
