Upcoming Amazon Kindle Fire With 8.9-inch Display

Word has it that Amazon will launch a larger version of the Kindle Fire in 2012. The next generation of Kindle Fire will feature an 8.9-inch display. Two Amazon’s display screen suppliers, Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) and LG Display (LGD), have started the production for 8.9-inch displays for the Kindle Fire. Kobo Vox e-book Reader Now Available Stateside

Kobo has finally released the Vox e-Book reader in the US and Canada. Measuring 7.6-inch x 5.1-inch x 0.5-inch and weighing 0.89 pounds, the gadget offers a 7-inch (1024 x 600) FFS display with multitouch support, an 800MHz processor, the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, a 512MB of RAM, an 8GB of storage space and 802.11b/g/n WiFi. Kobo Vox e-book Reader

Kobo is ready to launch the Kobo Vox e-book reader later this month. The gadget features a 7-inch AFFS+ display with a 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution, an 800MHz processor, a 512MB of RAM, an 8GB of internal storage space, a built-in speaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The eReader also provides an SD memory card slot for storage expansion of up to 32GB.
