
Magico has unveiled the S5 loudspeaker, which is the successor to the V3 loudspeaker that was released about five years ago. Designed by a musician called Alan Wolf, this floor standing speaker comes equipped with a 1-inch MB30 beryllium-dome tweeter, a 6-inch M380 midrange driver, and two 10-inch “hybrid” Nano-Tec woofers. The Magico S5 provides a sensitivity of 90dB (2.83V/1m), an impedance of 4 ohms, and a frequency response that extends from 22Hz to 50kHz. Smithson Martin today introduced the Emulator DJ transparent touchscreen mixing desk that uses a transparent multitouch display to allow DJs to spin their discs. Constructed from durable toughened glass, this new mixing desk is equipped with 130 controls and uses a 2200 lumen short throw projector. The Emulator DJ comes equipped with the MIDI controller PC software which currently only works with Traktor Pro.
