Onkyo has decided to release two new home theater receivers to replace the HT-RC270 and HT-RC260. The new Onkyo HT-RC370 and HT-RC360 home theater receivers come equipped with the new Marvell Qdeo 4K video upscaling processor, allowing users to upscale video to 1080p and beyond to as much as 4k of horizontal resolution, regardless of the source resolution. Sunfire has unveiled a small subwoofer for home theater, which is claimed to be the most powerful subwoofer in its class. Pioneer today introduced the S-DJ08 and S-DJ05 active reference monitoring speakers. Designed for DJing and music production, these bi-amp 2-way powered speakers both have a 2.5cm soft dome tweeter, a low resonance chimney-style heat sink and a bi-amp circuit that drives the tweeter and woofer separately. The S-DJ08 comes with an 8-inch woofer, while the S-DJ05 has a smaller 5-inch woofer.
