Emotiv EPOC Headset

Another cool gaming interface breakthrough has been unveiled. Emotiv EPOC headset allows user to control games through brainwaves. The technology is based on the latest development in neuro-technology, utilizing non-invasive electroencephalography (EEG) to scan and interpret specific brain activities. Before playing the games, user will need to undergo “warm-up” sessions to sync specific feeling with control. Once everything is set, you get to push, pull, lift and move game objects with your mind. Another cool factor is that you get to have your own avatar that reacts to your brain real-time, means the avatar will have live facial expressions, and blink as you blink, or smile as you naturally feeling cheerful. Each Emotiv EPOC neuroheadset is priced at $299 and will begin shipping in late 2008. [Emotiv VIA Upcoming Videogames]
