Samsung will be upgrading their 82-inch QuadHD LCD with 120Hz motion processing and LED backlighting along with a 3840×2160 resolution. Digital Canvas is launching 3 new flat panels in 34-, 43- or 52-inch models with PC components. Each one has a 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 120GB hard drive, WiFi module, a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution panel and a string across the b!ack for picture frame hanging. Movie Cowboy has launched a new portable HD multimedia hard drive. It can support any 2.5-inch SATA drive, features a USB port, a dock with stereo / coaxial digital / Toslink audio outputs, and component / composite / HDMI video outs. The hard drive also comes with support for WMV, DivX HD, MPEG1/2/4, XviD, ISO, IFO, VOB, AAC, WMA, MP3 and OGG files formats. You can get yours in Japan for ¥24,800 ($237) in a couple weeks. ProjectionDesign WUXGA F30 DLP Projector Shipped

Projection Design has now shipped the world’s first DLP projector. It features a WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) display, supports 1080p content, 4:3 formats, DLP .95 chip and 2x 300W UHP lamps, 2,000 hours of life at full power as well as inputs for DVI, HDMI 1.3a, VGA, and component. No word on the pricing, but considering it’s the World’s First DLP, it’s a bit pricey. [Engadget]

Sanyo LP-XC55 and LP-XC50 Projectors

Sanyo will be offering two new projectors to the Japanese market called the LP-XC55 and LP-XC50. Both feature white exteriors, a 7-watt internal speaker, 1,024 x 768 resolution, a security bar enabling extra thick cabling and the Active Maintenance Filter system for easy maintenance so the filter will last longer between changes and “automatically senses when airflow is interfered by dust changing the cartridge to the new filter. The only difference between the two is the 3,100 ANSI lumens (XC55) / 2,600 ANSI lumens (XC50) and the Â¥365,400 ($3,529) / Â¥312,900 ($3,022) prices. [About Projectors]

Sumitomo Will Launch 40-inch OLED Panels in 2009
