
Looks like Buffalo will be dropping their LinkTheater HD-streamer. Their LT-H90LAN model features 720p and 1080i output, support for streaming content from both Macs and PCs, USB hard drives and DLNA-compliant media servers. It also features anHDMI output, component video and optical audio connections and of course 10/100 LAN port. The LT-H90LAN will hit shelves this month for $199. [Gearlog]

The Hitachi CPX3 3LCD mobile short-throw projectors features WXGA (1,280 x 800) resolution, 2,000 lumens brightness, HDMI terminal, wide-angle lens, and integrated 1W speaker. Weighing at just 3.9 pounds, the CPX3 also comes equipped with security features that include My Screen PIN lock, My Text and a transition detector. [Griffin]

Sanyo has recently released Sanyo PLC-XW60 projector, which is claimed to be the smallest and lightest XGA LCD projector in the world. The projector measures at just 10.4 inch × 2.17 inch × 7.4 inch ang weights at 3.6 pounds. The Sanyo PLC-XW60 provides 1,024 x 768 resolution, 2,000 lumens, and 1-watt mono speaker. Medusa will be launching a HDMI hub that’s easy on the eyes, ironic isn’t it? The Medusa hub comes with an HDMI Spec of 1.3, compliant HDCP Rev 1.2 Spec, a wide frequency range of 25MHz – 225MHz, supports 12-bit deep color up to 1080p, CEC support, and an HDMI 3 out port. NEC has unveiled their new mobile projectors, the NP100 and NP200. These projectors sports a contrast ratio of 1,300 to 1, monitor output, VGA, S-Video and composite video/audio inputs and an aspect ratio of 4:3 and 16:9. The NP100 has only SVGA (800×600) resolution, while the NP200 offers XGA (1024×768) resolution for computers and other high-resolution sources. The NP100 is rated at 2,000 lumens, with the NP200 a bit brighter at 2,100 lumens. The NEC NP100 and NP200 will be release in April for $499 and $649, respectively. [Electronista]

Sony is going crazy with lcd projectors in the Asia-Pacific. These new models include the VPL-EW5, VPL-EX50, VPL-EX5 and the VPL-ES5. Each one comes with 2,500 ANSI lumens ,Sony’s BrightEra imaging technology, a resolution of up to WXGA (1,280 x 800) and contrast ratios up to 900:1. [AboutProjectors]

Pandigital’s Kitchen HDTV is a combination of a digital photo frame and an HD television. This 15inch screen has the ability to display your recipes as you cook in HD quality (1,280 by 720-pixel resolution). It supports ATSC and NTSC, and can be connected to video feeds using composite, S-Video, YPbPr, or HDMI connections. The unit can display images from its built-in 512 MB memory, a card reader or downloaded from Google’s Picassa photo-sharing service. BenQ has some new DLP Projectors set to drop soon : the SP870 and SP831. The BenQ SP870 (5000 ANSI lumen) and SP831 (4000 ANSI lumen) will come with a couple features that will enhance lamp output for better color, clarity and brilliance. Both will be more of a professional type projector and are better used at lecture halls, auditoriums, board rooms, etc. They both have a contrast ratio of 2,000:1. Looks as though Infocus will be launching their new IN83 projector later this month for about $6,000. The IN83 features a DarkChip4 DLP chip, 5,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,600 ANSI lumens, HDMI 1.3, Pixelworks DNX 10-bit video processing and 2.35:1 Cinemascope / widescreen aspect ratio support.
