The Mother of All HDTV

Mitsubishi has built a high-definition video screen at a horseracing track in Tokyo which is 218 feet wide and 37 feet tall. The screen now holds the record of the world’s largest HDTV which earlier belonged to the 137 feet large LED screen in Dolphin Stadium, Miami. This giant display uses Mitsubishi’s Aurora Vision LED technology and it costs $28 million.

Panasonic 103 Inch Plasma TV Goes On Sale

Panasonic USA launches the world’s largest full HD Plasma display. The plasma TV is 103 Inches wide and supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a 3.8 Inch pixel pitch. The company will be manufacturing 5000 of these displays annually at its high tech factory in Amagasaki – Japan. There is no info on pricing yet.

Viewsonic launches two new LCD monitors; the 27-inch Viewsonic N2751w and 32-inch Viewsonic N3251w. Both are offer one HDMI input (DVI compatible), 8ms response time, 1366×768 resolution, and 720p / 1080i HD input signals, S/PDIF digital audio outputs, and an integrated digital ATSC tuners. The Viewsonic N2751W has an estimated price of $799 while the Viewsonic N3251W is set at $999. Via HDBeat.

The HD-mini is Spectrum’s new small-sized indoor T-HDTV antenna. This mini HDTV antenna enables you to watch T-HDTV with a laptop, PC, and digital TV. Spectrum has been producing antennae for 2 years and was awarded by the Ministry of Information and Communication in Korea for its indoor DTV-antenna last December.
