Mitsubishi's Unisen Line of HDTVs

Mitsubishi is trying to dominate the HDTV market by releasing the Unisen range of HDTVs, that consists of the 151 Series (40 inch, 46 inch and 52 inch), the 153 Series (40 inch, 46 inch and 52 inch) and the high-end Diamond 259 Series (46 inch and 52 inch). All of these new HDTVs feature Plush1080p 5G 18-bit digital video processing, USB 2.0 media port, Wired IR input, four HDMI 1.3a inputs, 120Hz Film Motion technology, integrated 5.1-channel 16-speaker audio bar, and UltraThin Frame design. The new Mitsubishi Unisen line of HDTVs will be released in the US next month. The price starts from $1,799 to $3,299, depending on the model. [Press Release]

Sharp Releases Eco-Friendly AQUOS LCDs in Japan

Sharp today released three new eco-friendly AQUOS LCD TVs that are available in a 40 inch, 42 inch and 52 inch models. The new AQUOS offers 15000:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 450cd/m2. The company has successfully reduced their power consumption with an improved Backlight and overall power consumption system capable to bring to 175kWh/Year for the 52 inch, 145kWh/Year for the 46 inch, and only 120kWh/Year for the 40 inch model. The 40 inch model is priced at 200 000 Yen (€153), the 46 inch for 260 000 Yen (€1995), and the 52 inch for 390 000 Yen (€3990). [Sharp]

Sharp AQUOS DH77 Full HD LCD TV Series

Sharp’s new AQUOS DH77 LCD TV features full High Definition support and 100Hz technology. Available in 32 inch, 42 inch, 46 inch and 52 inch models, all these HDTVs have a “green eco-button” on the remote control allowing viewers to lower the energy consumption of the TV when in use. The new AQUOS HDTVs also adopt the “Optical Picture Control” technology that automatically adjust the backlight brightness according to lighting in the room. Toshiba REGZA C8000 Series HDTV

Toshiba of Japan has recently introduced the Regza C8000-series LCD HDTV, that will be available in 37-inch (37C8000) and 42-inch (42C8000) models. These HDTVs feature 120Hz technology, 30000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and eco-friendly features for up to 51 percent power savings compared with its predecessor, the CV500s-series. The Regza 37C8000 and 42C8000 will be available in Japan in April and priced at ¥180,000 and ¥210,000, respectively. [TodayGadgets]

Three New Full HD Monitors From LG

LG comes back with three new LCD monitors in the form of the 22 Inch W2253V-PF, 24 Inch W2453V-PF, and 27 Inch W2753V-PF. These Full HD 1920×1080p LCDs come equipped with a contract ratio of 1000:1 to 50000:1, Digital Fine Contrast, a brightness level of 300cd/m2 for the 22 Inch model and 400cd/m2 for both the 22 Inch and 27 Inch. LG's Latest 27-inch LCD Monitor and Full HDTV Combo

LG Display today rolled out its new 27-inch LCD monitor and full HDTV combo in South Korea. It features a 120Hz clear motion drive with 8ms response speed, 16:9 aspect ratio display, and 1920 x 1080 resolution. No word on pricing or availability so far. [AVING]

New Series of LG XCanvas LCD HDTVs

LG Korea today launches its new LCD HDTVs from its XCanvas LH30FD series that consists of a 47 inch, 42 inch and 32 inch LCD HDTVs. All of them boast a Cinema Color technology that offers the best Video quality and color contrast. LG also aimed to provide a series of TV capable to reduce up to 70% its power consumption. LG XCanvas Bobos PDP TV

LG Korea today introduced the XCanvas Bobos PDP TV (Plasma) that is available in two version in the form of the 42 inch 42PQ60D and 50 inch 50PQ60D. These Plasma TVs feature LG’s XD picture engines which adjust the picture quality continuously for a better viewing experience, a 1,000,000,000 :1 contrast ratio, and the availability to play video files from a USB drive. The 42 inch 42PQ60D and 50 inch 50PQ60D are currently available in Korea for 1,400,000 ($ 1000) and 2,000,000 KRW ($ 1400). [LG Korea]
