LG’s new 47 inch Xcanvas David LED (47LG90QD) has been released for the Korean market. This HDTV boasts a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The new Xcanvas David LED adopts Aurora LED backlight with eyeQgreen function that enhance the brightness and video quality and reduce the power consumption by 70%. The Casio XJ-SC200 and XJ-S50 Pro-Series Projectors have been unveiled. Both projectors offer XGA (1,024 × 768) resolution, 2,500 and 3,000 ANSI lumens, DLP projection engine and VGA input. You can buy these new projector in August onwards with the price tag between $1,299 to $1,599. [DigitalBurn]

Check out Optoma’s new Pico projector that is powered by the DLP Pico chipset. This small projector will be available in limited distribution in Europe and Asia in late 2008, where a worldwide launch will begin next year. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing at this time. Kaleidoscope has recently released two 1080p upscaling movie players dubbed as the 1080p Player and the 1080p Mini Player. Both players provide 1080p output and support content-aware video processing, advanced DVD and CD playback features, full Import Control, motion adaptive deinterlacing and reverse 3:2/2:2 pulldown, 10 bit 4:4:4 color processing, automatic video configuration, Sigma Designs (Gennum) VXP video processor chip and HDMI 1.3 port. If you are looking for a waterproof LCD monitor, you can choose the new Sanyo CE52SR1. The screen provides 52 inch viewing area, Sun-readable panel and marine grade construction, a full 1,920 x 1,080 HD resolution, 1,500:1 contrast ratio and 1500 cd/m2 brightness. NEC will release the new LCD screen in August 2008. The NEC EA261WM LCD monitor is a 26 inch screen that offers WUXGA resolution, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness level, 5ms response time, 92% color gamut, 4-port USB hub, 4-way adjustable stand and on-screen display controls. Sanyo’s PCL-XL51 ultra-short throw projector is able to throw a 1,024 x 768 resolution of up to 80″ in size from about 3 inch away. The device offers 2,700 lumens brightness, SD memory card slot, 600:1 contrast ratio, 4:3 aspect ratio, PJ Network Interface, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) connectivity, WEP 64/128-bit security and Mac OS compatibility. NEC today introduced two new projectors, the NP905 and the NP901W. The NP905 offers 1,024 x 768 (XGA) native resolution while the NP901W provides 1,280 x 800 (WXGA) resolution. Both projectors also features a maximum resolution at 1,600 x 1,200 (UXGA). The NP905 has a brightness of 3,000 lumens while the NP901W has a 2,000 lumens brightness level. Other features include HDMI 1.3, a couple of VGA, RCA and S-Video inputs, with audio output courtesy of basic RCAs and mini stereo plugs.
