Samsung 42″ and 50” PDP TVs

Samsung will launch 2 new Plasma TVs in Korea and are available in 42″ and 50” models as well as 3D Ready. Samsung has gotten together with electronic arts to make sure these TVs will give the best gaming experience. Both TVs also got a DNIe+ (Digital Natural Image engine+). along with USB 2.0 Support, HDMI 1.3, and full HD with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. Hitachi 1.5 HDTV

Hitachi will release the ultimate HDTV. It’s a 1.5 inches thick Plasma HDTV 1080p and supports stuff like Wireless HD and wireless content streaming. Expect this baby to be available in the next couple of months and supposedly has something that other HDTV’s don’t, we’ll just have to wait and see.

LG Releases DivX Certified Time Machine TV Series

DIVX and LG have launched the DivX certified Time Machine TV Series both in Plasma and LCD versions, that includes three LCD models, the 47LB5RE, 42LB5RT, 37LB4RT and two plasma models, the 50PB4RT and 42PB4RT. These TVs deliver remarkable image and audio quality for digital content using much less bandwidth than regular analog devices. The series also features a built-in 80GB hard disk drive for Time Shift function and recording, USB 2.0 port for backing up recorded content and MP3, JPEG and DivX playback capability. LG’s DivX -certified Time Machine TV Series is now available in Europe, China and throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Pioneer Kuro And The Elite Kuro Plasma TVs

Pioneer comes back with a new plasma TV called the KURO. The displays are divided into two version; the Pioneer Kuro and the Elite Kuro. The 42-inch Pioneer Kuro sports a 1,024 x 768 resolution panel, four independent HDMI 1.3 inputs, a built-in CableCARD slot, advanced PureCinema with 3:3 pulldown, and tweakable settings, while the 50-inch Pioneer Kuro comes with a 1,365 x 768 resolution. The Elite Kuro versions add the Home Media Gallery, and provide ISFccc calibration. Pricing and availability info are currently unavailable.

The Samsung new 50 inch SPD-50P91FHD plasma display is touted as the first Bluetooth capable full HD plasma TV in the world. The display has True Black Panel for an improved full HD image and a Cinema Screen Mode, which utilizes proprietary technologies including Ultra DayLight, Natural True Color, and Real motion studio. The Samsung SPD-50P91FHD retails for a hefty $4,600.

According to Digitimes, LG will offer a 60 inch Plasma TV with a wood casing in Korea. The 60PT1 will be produced in limited quantities (only 1,000 units) and will be available in March this year. No word yet on pricing.

You’d only need $4,199 to get this brand new 1080p Plasma from Samsung called HP-T5084. This 50 inch plasma TV is the first plasma from Samsung, which features a true high definition resolution of 1920 x 1080. In addition, the company will also launch the 58 inch version for $5,199 in September.
