Planon has finally launched the DocuPen X Series for the mass market. The scanning pen features a 200MHz internal processor, a 64MB of memory, Bluetooth, a small OLED screen and a Lithium ion battery. I-O Data today announced three new USB 3.0 peripherals in the form of a 3.5-inch HDD enclosure sold with either a 1TB or 1.5TB HDD, an ExpressCard/34 Card and a 2 port USB 3.0 PCI Express card. New Visioneer today introduced a portable and multi-functional mobile scanner in the form of the Strobe 500. It is a new mobile duplex scanner that comes equipped with a docking station developed for Windows and Mac. This color scanner features a 20 page automatic document feeder and scans at 15 ppm/ 30 ipm. The front feed slot accepts documents in letter/legal A4 size photos, receipts and plastic ID cards.
