Focal corp has just announced a waterproof IPOD case. The Aquatune case can provide safety against pressure at upto a meter under water for half an hour. The case also has dual speakers. Intempo has just released their newest iPod dock, iDS-02. The iDS-02 for the iPod comes in white or black and each speaker puts out 7.5 watts of sound and the subwoofer provides an additional 15 watts. iLuv introduces a new portable tablet-style media device. It is called the iLuv i1055. This gadget allows users to play videos stored on iPod as well as DVDs. Moreover, the iLuv i1055 features a 7-inch widescreen LCD display, an integrated rear dock for fifth-generation iPods, and a disc drive that supports DVDs, VCDs, audio CDs and MP3 CDs. Price is $249.95 each and available in two colors; black and white. It also has a built-in rechargeable battery, S-video output, and an on-screen interface. Apple has cut prices of the iPod in Canada. The 30GB model is now priced only at CAD$349, while the 60GB model now sells for $459. The recently launched special edition U2 iPod sells only for $379. FriendTech has introduced the iDea HomeDock, a new combo docking station for iPods, Sony PSPs, and other portable devices. It comes in wired and wireless version which allow users to connect the handheld devices to a home entertainment system for music and video playback. It also features a 16-button remote control and a USB 2.0 port for synchronization with a computer and uses RF HD-Audio transmitting and broadcasting to send music wirelessly to multiple room stereos and headphones.
