
BenQ has recently unveiled their upcoming 27-inch LCD monitor ‘M2700HDS’ during a press event in Japan. This new widescreen monitor offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness and four 2.5W built-in speakers. It also comes with several connectivity ports including USB, D-Sub, DVI and two HDMI. The M2700HDS will become available later this year for unannounced price yet. [TCMagazine]

Iiyama has come out with another eco-friendly LCD monitor namely the ProLite E1906S-B. This new 19-inch LCD monitor is an energy efficient display, reducing power consumption by almost 35.9% compared to regular panels. As for the specs itself, the monitor supports a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels, 5ms response time, 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, two 1W speakers and D-Sub as well as DVI connectivities. AOC has rolled out another affordable eco-friendly LCD monitor that meets EPEAT Gold standards. Dubbed as the AOC 2436Vw, this new 24-inch LCD monitor supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and features 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness and consumes no more than 49W of power. Panasonic has expanded its Viera range by releasing the TH-L17C10 LCD TV. This new 17-inch LCD TV supports a native resolution of 1366 x 768 and features a digital TV tuner, a HDMI port and a microSD card slot for displaying your photo directly on your TV. If you’re looking for an affordable 21.5-inch Full HD widescreen monitor, be sure to check out Hyundai’s latest X226Wa. This widescreen monitor offers a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 5ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. It also comes with two 1.5W speakers and a D-Sub connector. The Hyundai X226Wa is now available in Europe for over 130 Euro (about $183). [TechConnect]

BenQ will release the world’s first 21.5-inch LED widescreen, namely the Full HD 1080p V2200 Eco. The monitor adopts LED (light-emitting diode) technology that enables an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 5 million:1 for intense blacks and extreme whites. This technology also produces fine details and near-infinite color variations, meanwhile BenQ’s Senseye 3 Human Vision technology provides image richness, clarity, and depth. TriGem Computer is out with four new LCD monitors for the South Korean market namely the TGL 2000A (20-inch), TGL 2250A (21.6-inch), TGL 2300A (23-inch) and TGL 2400A (23.6-inch). These LCDs feature a built-in digital TV tuner, 16:9 aspect ratio, 2ms response time, 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, integrated speakers, plus DVI and HDMI connectors. The 2250A, 2300A and 2400A support the same native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, while the 2000A only offers a resolution of 720p. BenQ Taiwan has added two new LCD monitors to its E-series with the introduction of E2220HD (21.5-inch) and E2420HD (24-inch). These widescreen monitors are equipped with the all new SensEye 3 technology, an auto-calibration sensor that will give you the perfect contrast, color and brightness based on your surrounding, and feature a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio. Dell has rolled out its new 24-inch LCD monitor for the Japanese market. Dubbed as the UltraSharp U2410, this widescreen monitor boasts an IPS panel, providing 96% coverage of the Adobe RGB color space and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. It also supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 resolution, 6ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness and comes with several connectivity ports including VGA, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort and 4 USB. Sharp has rolled out the LE600 and LE700 LED TV series. The former comes in 32-inch, 40-inch and 46-inch models, meanwhile the latter has all those plus the added advantage of a 52-inch model. Both the LE600 and LE70 series feature Full HD resolution, LED backlights, a contrast ratio of 4,000:1, Sharp’s “X-Gen Panel” with its proprietary “Mega Contrast” and “Brilliant colour Processor” technology. The Sharp LE700 is better than the LE600 because it has a quick 4ms response time, four HDMI ports, and a USB port that allows playback of MP3 and JPEG files directly from a USB Flash drive.
