This one has been highly anticipated and it looks like it is now a reality. This is the new eSATA to USB 3.0 that is being released by Addonics. This is great since USB 3.0 can get very close to the speed of eSATA and will allow early adapters of USB 3.0 to add all of the eSATA peripherals that they want. The best part of this device will no doubt be its price, which will be a very low $34. [EverythingUSB]

Gone will be the days of abusing the copy machine at work for personal copies, at least if you live in Japan that is. Canon Japan has just rolled out this new imageRUNNER ADVANCE series of copiers that will require you to give a scan of your fingerprint that has been reproved by the machine before allowing you to make any copies. This will be far more secure than the machines now that use access cards which can be shared around the office. [Akihabara]
