Leema’s New Entry Level CD Player And Amplifier

Leema

Leema has recently introduced its new high quality CD player and amplifiers. The Leema Stream CD Player features 16 24-bit/192KHz Crystal multi-bit, Delta-Sigma converters and a Philips CD drive. The player utilities a single rotary control knob called the Leema L-Drive that handles all of the basic CD player functions, and has the capability to control other Leema products equipped with Leema’s Intelligent Protocol System (LIPS). The Pulse Amplifier provides a separate moving magnet and moving coil phono inputs along with an auxiliary input for portable audio players on the front panel. The device also comes equipped with a remote control and can output 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms. The Stream CD Player retails for about $2,259, while the Pulse amplifier is priced at $2,465.

Cambridge Audio’s New TT50 Turntable

Cambridge Audio with a little help from some turntable experts at Pro-ject have created the Cambridge Audio TT50 turntable. It features an elastomer-coated acrylic platter, one piece aluminum arm and head shell as well as an Audio Technica AT95E moving-magnet cartridge. The TT50 retails for about $720.

Designer Jason Roebuck has created the Apple remote that responds to motion gestures. Rotating it left lowers the volume, rotating it right raises it. The bowl actually recharges “these Apples”.

Logitec LDT-1S30X4U TV Tuner

The Logitec LDT-1S30X4U looks like a wireless router but actually it is a USB TV tuner. The device has three antennas to allow recording of two different channels and viewing of a third channel at the same time. The unit also provides two USB ports and supports EPG, Mail recording (send an email and the tuner will record the program), data broadcasts, and subtitles. The TV tuner supports MPEG-4/H.264 and MPEG-2/AAC codecs. Measuring 12.8mm × 112.5mm × 36.2mm and weighing 300grams, the Logitec LDT-1S30X4U is currently available in Japan for $150.

Ringtones are usually for cellphone, but not anymore with the Ringboxx. Just hook this device up to your home phone and choose from quite a few ringtones for incoming calls. Although it does not take any MP3’s firsthand, you can hook up the ringboxx to your computer and download tones from the special website. You can even assign custom ringtones too different numbers as well as callers. Each purchase you make comes with 5 credits. One ringtone on average costs 2-3 credits and additional ones can be bought for a dollar. If anyone still uses their home phones this would be a useful device to have!
