AT&T To Release Two 3G LaptopConnect Devices

AT&T has rolled out a couple of new 3G LaptopConnect devices, the AT&T USBConnect Turbo and AT&T USBConnect Velocity. The USBConnect Turbo is AT&T’s first LaptopConnect device from LG, meanwhile the USBConnect Velocity is the first GPS-enabled LaptopConnect device from AT&T that works with a free software application, the Option GPS Control Panel, that benefits location-enabled sites such as Yahoo! Maps and Bing for directions and local points of interest. Both gadgets also support a microSD memory card slot, allowing you to carry your data anywhere you go. The AT&T USBConnect Turbo retails for $99.99 with a two-year DataConnect of at least $35/month, but will come with a mail-in rebate ($100 AT&T Promotion Card). The AT&T USBConnect Velocity is priced at $29.99 after the $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year DataConnect contract of at least $35 a month. [Press Release]

The AirLive Air3G multi-function router is perfect for use in offices since it features a high-performance Single Stream 11N radio which is claimed to provide all-round wireless coverage of up to 500 meters. The router also supports AirLive Air3G Smart Backup that allows you to switch to a backup connection whenever the primary connection is broken and return to its primary connection whenever the service is resumed. Other features include Multiple operating modes, Hotspot Authentication, PoE enable and meeting all the requirements of a Green AP, showing that AirLive truly care for the environment. Huawei e398 Triple-mode LTE Modem

Huawei has debuted its E398 modem at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It is the world’s first triple-mode LTE modem compatible with all three major network standards such as LTE, UMTS, and GSM. The modem allows you to enjoy high speed LTE access while switching over to other standards (UMTS or GSM) when LTE access is unavailable. The Huawei E398 will be released in the world’s first LTE/GSM shared network in Sweden operated by Net4Mobility, a joint infrastructure venture between Tele2 Sweden and Telenor Sweden. Latest Dual-Mode USB Modem From C-motech

C-motech has announced their latest dual-mode USB modem for the Korean market that supports both 3G technology HSUPA and 4G technology WiBro. Dubbed as the CBU-450D, this lightweight modem is able to provide maximum download/upload speeds of up to 7.2/5.76 MB/s from HSUPA or 33/5.2 MB/s from WiBro. The device also supports Windows 7, Vista and XP operating systems. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and availability yet. Read more
