C-motech U-301 Dual-Mode USB Modem

The U-301 is the latest dual-mode USB modem from C-motech that supports both 3G technology CDMA and 4G technology WiMax 2.0. This lightweight modem uses a 65nm Qualcomm QSC6085 chipset for CDMA and a 65nm Beceem BCSM250 chipset for WiMax. The U-301 provides maximum download/upload speeds of up to 10/4 MB/s from WiMax or 3.1/1.8 MB/s from CDMA. The device also supports Windows 7, Vista and XP operating systems. 7.2Mbps USBConnect Lightning Modem AT&T

AT&T has started selling the Sierra Wireless USBConnect Lightning modem that supports the carrier’s faster 7.2Mbps HSPA network. AT&T sells the USBConnect Lightning for $100 with a minimum $35 monthly data plan, although they will return $100 in the form of a debit card rebate which means the modem is free. The $35 plan provides 200MB a month but coexists alongside the existing $60, 5GB service. [Engadget]

This wireless modem provides unlimited wireless internet service within Cricket Broadband coverage areas using its tri-band CDMA connectivity. The modem itself measures only 2.8-inch x 1.3-inch x 0.6-inch and weighs just 1.1 ounces, and features a swivel USB hinge, dual antenna with Rx antenna diversity and CD-less software for easy installation.
