The new version of Mio C520 is being displayed at IFA 2007 in Berlin. Dubbed as Mio C520tb, this navigation gadget boasts a 4.3 inch wide screen display and split-screen view for more map detail and relevant journey information. The device also features integrated Traffic Message Channel (TMC) reports, Tele Atlas maps (2007.1), MioMap v3 software, speed camera alerts and 20 channel SiRFstarIII GPS receiver. However speed camera availability is variable from country to country depending on the local law. The Mio C520 also comes with a new ‘click-in’ docking cradle with a more powerful speaker for clearer driving instructions.

Mio’s new GPS enabled PDA, the Mio P360, is making an appearance at IFA in Berlin this year. The gadget will run Windows Mobile 6, have Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, and an embedded GPS antenna. Other features include an SD/MMC slot for memory expansion, the mini-USB connector for syncing your data and charging, and a microphone. No word on pricing or availability so far.

Garmin will show its new nüvi 700 at the electronics show IFA 2007 in Berlin which will open its doors this Friday. The nüvi 700 will boast a widescreen display and a design similar to the 200w and 250w, but with features more in line with the nuvi 660.

Nokia LD-4W bluetooth GPS receiver goes well with N series with its slim body but can connect to any compatible mobile device. The device weighs at just 31 grams and can last up to 10 hours on a single charge. The black and metallic body has an LED indicator to alert you to GPS activation, power and battery status, and Bluetooth connectivity status. The Nokia LD-4W is available all around the world for about $150.

HP is about to upgrade their mobile series with Windows Mobile 6 operating system. The iPAQ VoiceMessenger 514 has been the first member of this new generation, which will also include integrated GPS functionality. The other series will be configured in the following way:

• 100 Series: The substitute of old the rz1710. Entry range PDA with no phone but at for a very low price
• 200 Series: PDA/PND (autonomous GPS) hybrids, replacing the range iPAQ rx57/59
• 300 Series: equipped with a VGA screen (replacing ancestral the iPAQ hx4700)
• 500 Series: medium range smartphones
• 600 Series: 3G PDA phones equipped with keyboard and integrated GPS.
• 900 Series: The successor of the HP iPAQ hw6915. Specially designed for business users.

The first devices from the new HP line-up will be released at the end of the year.

iRiver PN100 is a Windows CE based navigation device for Japan. The device has a 3.5 inch (320 x 240) touchscreen, 3.5 mm slot, SD card slot and offers 3 hour of battery life. It also supports playback of MOV/ AVI/ MP4/ 3GPP/ ASF(SD-Video) and MP3/ WMA/ WAV file formats. The iRiver PN100 will go on sale in Japan by August 3 for $ 335.

MainNav MH350 GPS navigation system provides a 3.5 inch touch screen and several interface buttons to make controlling the device as easy as possible. The gadget uses a Samsung 2410 processor at 266MHz, and a SiRF Star III fold out GPS antenna in the back. The MH350 also comes with an embedded 32MB Flash ROM and 64MB SDRAM and offers SD/MMC card slot for maps and memory expansion.

There are so many GPS navigation systems which are released in Europe only. However, the LG LN790 Portable Navigator will be available soon in the States. The gadget comes with a 4.3 inch touchscreen and Bluetooth connectivity and has all the North American maps preloaded. It also streams live traffic data from 50 US cities, which is a pretty cool feature for commuters. The LG LN790 will be released in September this year for $699.
