Some guys at Engadget provides us with the first live shots of Fujitsu-Siemens’ Pocket Loox N100. This GPS gadget is the first pocket navigator to combine NAVIGON MobileNavigator 6 with an integrated SiRFstar III chipset/antenna. F-Tech from Taiwan just released their new navigation system. The new curvy looking device is called NAV550 and features a state of the art SiRF Star III GPS receiver capable of operating indoors and tracking signals down to -159dBm. The device has a high capacity rechargeable lithium-ion battery at 1100mAH should last you for many hours and the stereo speakers can give you voice guidance. The one-power-button design with Screen-off function is listed as a feature on their website but we’re not sure why. The rest of specs are pretty much the same as any other 3.5 inch navigation device. One thing worth mentioning is the device uses smart2go maps provided by TeleAtlas.
The Solvo S830 manages to pack GPS, DMB, and PMP functionality into its slim design. With only 0.92inch thick, this gizmo has a 7 inch touch screen display screen, 64MB SDRAM, 128MB NAND Flash memory, 1GB SD card, T-DMB tuner, TV-out, and a SiRF Star III chip. Sadly, there is no word on pricing or availability yet.
Hyundai Telematics will launch the 7 inch DMB navigation, Roadbank RNB 70, which features an electronic map from Mando Map & Soft, that offers realistic view of the roads and buildings. The device also features Sirf III GPS module for high GPS reception rate and has MP3/video playback, image viewer, and games. The price is around 300,000 – 400,000 Korean Won.
The UREN V1 is a Mobile Auto PC for its built-in GPS navigation system and dashboard-mountable design. Other features include a 3.0MP camera, DMB TV tuner, 30GB HDD, and a memory card slot. It is now available only in Korean market.
The HP rx5915 offers a built-in SiRF Star III GPS receiver for navigating on long road trips. This device also provides a 400MHz Samsung processor, 3.5 inch QVGA touch screen display, 2GB of Flash memory, 64MB RAM, Bluetooth 2.0, and an SDIO slot. It is expected to shell out around US$600 when it’s released.
Measuring 137 mm x 75 mm x 19.5 mm and weighing 200 grams, IUBI’s latest PMP, the N4300 has a 4.3 inch display and runs with WIN CE NET 5.0. This PMP has no internal memory but features a SD connector that supports 4GB SD cards. On the video side, the N4300 is XviD, DivX, Mpeg (1, 4SP), and WMV 7-8-9 compatible. Mp3, WMA, and OGG are supported for the audio. It also has a GPS feature that can be used as a navigation system for cars.
The Maxtek MNT-4300DMB features a 4.3 inch touch screen display, SiRF III GPS module, built-in T-DMB tuner, MP3 playback, a photo viewer, an electronic map with search engine, preview, and ‘easy mode’ functions, and PIP feature that enables you to view navigation and T-DMB program in one screen. This portable T-DMB navigation is now available for just $363 or around 349,000 Korean Won.
The Acer e310 is a full-featured GPS navigation system that also offers MP3 playback, a photo viewer, and an address book. This device provides a 2.8 inch touch screen display and an SD/MMC card slot.
