
Korean giant Samsung today introduced the latest 450 Series PAVV Fabrizio PDP Series of Plasma TV that is available in both 42 inch and 50 inch models. These PDP TVs feature 600Hz Technology and Samsung’s Crystal Engine. Stay tuned for more updates. [Samsung]

LG Korea today introduced the XCanvas Bobos PDP TV (Plasma) that is available in two version in the form of the 42 inch 42PQ60D and 50 inch 50PQ60D. These Plasma TVs feature LG’s XD picture engines which adjust the picture quality continuously for a better viewing experience, a 1,000,000,000 :1 contrast ratio, and the availability to play video files from a USB drive. The 42 inch 42PQ60D and 50 inch 50PQ60D are currently available in Korea for 1,400,000 ($ 1000) and 2,000,000 KRW ($ 1400). [LG Korea]

Samsung showcased its 63-inch Plasma Display at the ongoing FPD International show in Japan. The display offers a 4,096 x 2,160 pixels. I think this is the future of HDTV. because it offers four times the definition of a modern 1080p HDTV set. [Electronista]

Panasonic has just rolled out the world’s first full HD plasma home theater system capable of displaying 3D images. The system uses a 103-inch plasma television and a Blu-ray Disc (BD) player, distributing full high-definition (HD) (1920 x 1080 pixels) images to left eye and right eye. By wearing active shutter glasses that work in synchronization with the plasma television, the viewer is able to experience 3D images formed with twice the volume of information as regular full HD images, and enjoy them together with high quality surround sound. This system enables full HD signal processing on each of the left and right images in every process from recording, playback and display. No word on pricing or availability yet. [Panasonic]

Pioneer KRP-600M Plasma TV is part of the high-end KURO PDP series. This plasma display is specially made for Audio-Visual fans, who demand the high quality pictures. Measuring a mere 41mm, the screen also boasts full HD resolution and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. The Pioneer KRP-600M Plasma TV will be available in Japan later this month for around $7,921. Panasonic will be releasing PZ850 series Plasma TVs this Summer. They come in 46-, 50- and 58-inch versions and will be available in mid-June along with a 65-incher in August. Next-generation large-screen display manufacturer Shinoda Plasma has unveiled a flexible, 1-millimeter thick, 125-inch film-type prototype display that can be used as a curved or wrap-around screen. The 3 x 1 meter plasma tube array (PTA) display (which actually consists of 3 seamlessly integrated 1 x 1 meter square sub-modules) offers a resolution of 960 x 360 and weighs 3.6 kilograms (8 lbs), or about 10 times less than a conventional plasma display. At a low-key unveiling on May 15, Shinoda Plasma announced plans to exhibit the device in June at the InfoComm 2008 conference in Las Vegas. [ShinodaPlasma]

Samsung will launch 2 new Plasma TVs in Korea and are available in 42″ and 50” models as well as 3D Ready. Samsung has gotten together with electronic arts to make sure these TVs will give the best gaming experience. Both TVs also got a DNIe+ (Digital Natural Image engine+). along with USB 2.0 Support, HDMI 1.3, and full HD with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. Panasonic released a plasma TV at CES 07 aka the “10 Series” that comes with better wall mount configuration, improved video processing technology, anti-Reflective coating, enhanced wireless presentation capabilities, more versatile media card readability, and a dual HDMI board came as a standard feature. Hitachi will release the ultimate HDTV. It’s a 1.5 inches thick Plasma HDTV 1080p and supports stuff like Wireless HD and wireless content streaming. Expect this baby to be available in the next couple of months and supposedly has something that other HDTV’s don’t, we’ll just have to wait and see.
