The age of pasting memorable Polaroids on our bedroom walls have somewhat passed, replaced only with thousands and thousands of useless photos in our smartphone memory cards, some never to be seen again. A French startup is looking to change that, and rekindle the now ancient amusement habit. They have a prototype the call the Prynt, a smartphone case / backpack with a printer inside.
3D printing is now within reach for the average consumer. The M3D, or simply the Micro, is not only affordable but also very practical. It’s a plug-and-print package equipped with a state-of-the-art software interface with pre-built printable models. At the core of the Micro lies an embedded microchip on the print head that enables precise motions, which in turn produces precise printed products. It moves in beautiful motion, and all you have to do is sit and watch. Or stand, if you prefer. They call this the Micro Motion Technology™ and you can pre-order one for $349 on their website.
