Sony Unveils Pricing Details For SXRD Projectors

Sony has decided to release two new Sony’s SXRD projectors, the VPL-VW80 and VPL-HW10. The Sony VPL-VW80 will be released on November 20th, 2008. Meanwhile the VPL-HW10 will be available later this month.

The Sony VPL-HW10 features 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, 30,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,000 lumens brightness, BRAVIA Engine 2, two HDMI inputs, Triple panel SXRD, and a quick 2ms response time. Priced at €5,000, the Sony VPL-VW80 boasts 100Hz Motionflow Dark Frame Insertion Tech, BRAVIA Engine 2, 60,000:1 contrast ratio, 800 lumens brightness, a response time of 2.5ms and two HDMI inputs. Let’s take a look at Sony’s BRAVIA VPL-VW80 SXRD. It seems that the company will release this HD projector in Europe. The projector boasts High Frame Rate SXRD panels, a 100Hz Motionflow Dark Frame Insertion system, the BRAVIA ENGINE 2 processing tech and a 2.5-millisecond response time. Other specs are include the 60,000:1 of contrast ratio, Advanced Iris 2, electronic panel alignment, two HDMI connectors and a 1.6x motorized zoom lens.
