Rocstor Amphibious Secure Portable Storage

Rocstor has announced the availability of the Amphibious secure portable storage at CES 2012. It is known as the first portable storage device that features a keypad and a smartcard slot for authentication. Made out of aircraft grade aluminum alloy, the Rocstor Amphibious supports an Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm (AES)-256 bit key strength, a real-time encryption, a military grade hardware encryption, a smartcard and password-protected, a NIST cryptographic engine and a CSE-certified hardware AES algorithm. The device can hold up to 1TB of HDD or SDD drive. It is also compatible with both Windows and Macs operating systems. Coming in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB sizes, these capless flash drives feature a sleek aluminum body, a slide-out USB 3.0 connector and support for Windows 7, Vista, XP as well as Mac OS X 10.4 or above operating systems. Plextor has announced a new line of SSDs ‘M3 Pro’ at this year’s CES. Available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB sizes, these thin 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) are equipped with 24nm MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a server-grade Marvell 88SS9174 controller and promise to deliver read and write speeds of up to 540MB/s and 450MB/s, respectively.
