
Pro BMX street rider Nigel Sylvester has collaborated with Casio G-Shock to release the Casio Nigel Sylvester’s Signature timepiece (GD100NS-7). The collaborative watch infuses Nigel’s street style with G-Shock’s toughness to compliment and withstand his riding needs. The watch features the BMX pro’s signature emblazoned in red, stark white band and contrasting black face. Additionally, the GD100NS-7 is also shock resistant and 200M water resistant. The new McIntosh mantle clock is constructed with the same-sized faceplate and blue-lighted meters as used in the latest McIntosh stereo power amplifiers. The hour and minute hands cover a twelve and sixty minute arc, respectively. Both hands “fly-back” in a retrograde fashion when they reach the end of their scale. Tokyoflash Design Studio is back with its new watch concept namely the UV Index LCD watch design with touchscreen. The watch features a sensor, which measures the UV index when outside so that you know when you should take care and protect yourself. The UV Index measures the level of UV radiation from zero to eleven. This concept watch design also has an “always on” LCD display with a colored LED backlight. It is also touch sensitive so the functions can be operated by touching the screen. The time is displayed with hours in the center and minutes around the outside in the same position as minutes on a clock face. The date is shown in a similar way. Designed by Jay Jiwoong Baek, the Eclipsion wall clock comes in white or black versions and has no numbers on the face. The hour hand features a large white circle on it, while the minute hand has a smaller circle with a black center. The idea is that the clock looks like a solar eclipse. The Eclipsion clock is constructed from steel and aluminum with a black or white ABS plastic face. Too bad, there is no info on pricing or availability at this time. [Geeky Gadgets]

The Tokyoflash Radiation Level LED is a new concept watch that tells you the time through the usage of several colorful bars and that light up according to the time. The watch shows hours 1-12 across the bottom, groups of 5 minutes, 5-55 in the top left section and four single minutes in the radioactive symbol in the top right. Swiss watch-maker Bernhard Lederer Universe has created a timepiece to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Russian astronaut Yuvi Gagarin’s historic flight into space. Limited to only 50 units, the Gagarin Tourbillon is inspired by the Vostok space capsule, which successfully completed its test flight into space on 25 March 1961. The timepiece features a 60-second orbital flying tourbillon that rotates counterclockwise around the dial counter in 108 minutes. An integrated rotating magnifying glass allows appreciation of details on the dial, while the tourbillon boasts a mechanical manual winding movement, providing a power reserve of approximately 80 hours. Additional features include a case made out of Platinum 950, a sapphire crystal display, a black hand-stitched alligator strap with a platinum tang buckle, a micro-engraved text with highlights of Yuri Gagarin’s flight and a complex movement with 264 components and 35 jewels.
