Tokyoflash Plasma Activated Watch Design

Tokyoflash has unveiled a unique wristwatch concept namely the Plasma Activated Watch Design. It is actually a traditional analog watch with a red hemisphere to indicate the hour and a blue one to indicate minutes. When you touch your finger to the center of the watch face, sparks would shoot between your fingertip and the two electrodes and through a bubble of Argon gas to display the time. There is a button to set the time and another to enable or disable the plasma system. The watch is also USB rechargeable. See more pictures after the jump. Read more

Urwerk UR-1001 Zeit Device

Urwerk today unveiled its new timepiece, the UR-1001 Zeit Device. The watch has been constructed out of a single block of metal. The main body is made from a special alloy called Titanium Aluminum Nitride coated on a stainless steel base, while the internal mechanisms contain 51 jewels including precious stones, and DLC treated main-plate and base plate, which speaks of the novelty value of the watch. F.O. Clock Concept By Shiping Toohey

Designed by Shiping Toohey from New Zealand, the foldable F.O. Clock concept is inspired by two Japanese art forms such as Furoshiki and Origami. The clock is made from 18 tessellated pieces and is constructively folded into a sleek modern artwork. It is a cool concept that will hopefully hit the light of production. The Diesel SBA Black Out Watch has a uniquely angled case design and a combination of analog and digital movements. What makes this timepiece interesting is that it is water resistant to 5 ATM of pressure (50 meters deep in water). A dark leather strap complements the blacked out case and dial. Sonar Watch Concept

Samuel Jerichow has designed a futuristic-looking watch concept namely the Sonar Watch. Inspired by scanning devices for scanning targets in sci-fi movies, the timepiece features three themes such as blue for sonar, green for radar, and red for a scanner interface. By pressing a button, the Sonar Watch Concept will play a radar/sonar/scanner animation to show the time. There are three dots that represent the hour, minutes and seconds.
