LG Unveils Its Super Multi Blue Drive In Korea

LG Super Multi Blue Drive is now available in the Korean market. The drive sports both Blu-ray and HD DVD formats and features 6x speed Blu-ray disc. The Super Multi Blue Drive can read Blu-ray capacity of 50GB and HD-DVD capacity of 30GB. It is priced at approx. $55.

Panasonic Blu-ray Burner

Panasonic is coming out with a new Blu-ray burner, November 10th. The LF-PB271JD, that can burn BD-R2 50 GB disks with a 4X speed with the help of a SATA interface with a 8MB buffer. In addition, this little burner can also DVD-RAM disks as well as DVD±R DL or +RW disks. The burner is going for about $425.

Sony BWU-200S Blu-ray Burner Reaches 4x Speeds

Sony unveiled its new Blu-ray burner, the BWU-200S, that can burn BD-R discs at 4x speeds. This new burner can also burn to BD-RE at 2x, DVD±R at 16x, dual-layer DVD±R at 8x, CD-R at 40x and CD-RW at 24x. The drive utilities a SATA interface and comes bundled with the CyberLink BD Solution software. You can grab this new Blu-ray burner for $600 next month.

BluTech Vision Blu-ray Player

Loewe will release the new BluTech Vision Blu-ray player to Europe later this month. The player offers full HD playback at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution at 24 complete frames per second. It also supports analog playback of 5.1 Dolby Digital sound. Available in Chrome Silver and Anthracite colors. there is no word on pricing of this Blu-ray player so far.

Pioneer BDP-95FD Blu-ray Player

Pioneer’s BDP-95FD Blu-ray player has just unveiled hours ago. This new high-end Blu-ray player is apparently the first player to offer bitstream output of “all advanced audio formats” including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital+, DTS-HD High Resolution, and DTS-HD Master Audio. The player also offers full 1080p24 video, along with HDMI 1.3 connectivity (including HDMI-CEC technology), and Pioneer’s Home Media Gallery, which will let you network the player with your computer or other DLNA-compliant gear. Pioneer BDP-95FD Blu-ray player retails for a $1,000 when it’s released in October.

Here is Sony’s new BDP-S500 Blu-ray player which was introduced at IFA 2007 last week. The player provides HDMI 1.3, 1080p/60 and 24p output, 7.1-channel Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD1, separate audio / video boards to minimize interference, and a “rigid drive bracket” to minimize vibrations. The S2000ES will be available soon for $1300.

Sony announced the new HES-V1000 media server at CEDIA today. It is a massive Blue-ray disc-changer to keep all your media in one place. The HES-V1000 boasts Sony’s x-Pict Story HD and x-ScrapBook, two slide show utilities that probably make your family photos seem more compelling than they actually are. This home entertainment center will be available in October for the low price of $3,500.
