Memorex of all brands has come out with a portable dvd player, the MVDP1085-FLRB portable DVD player, is $149 and has a crappy two hours of internal battery among other features. The MVDP1085-FLRB DVD player features an 8.4-inch swiveling widescreen LCD display and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. It plays all writable and re-writable DVD and CD formats, and includes built-in stereo speakers.

Pinnacle has created the video transfer, which is a device that can record a video source directly into an MPEG4/H.264 format and is compatible with mobile devices like the PSP or the iPod video.Itis said to be able to record onto any USB 2.0 storage device without using your computer. Although there is not set release date yet, the actual retail price of this neat video gadget is $130.

It comes with 9.2-inch wide LCD that can rotate up to 270-degrees and can be connected to external devices like your TV, DMB, and navigation that also supports output with a MMC/SD card slot along with a cigar jack, earphone and a remote control. Both Korea and Japan have this baby right now for a retail price of $359.

BlueNavi is a Korean brand of a 2-in-1 gadget.It’s not just a portable multimedia player ,it also functions as a GPS device. The BlueNavi is known for its 4.3 inch TFT LCD touch screen. It also features a USB 2.0 port for media downloading, an SD slot and a GPS antenna. It’s still unknown whether it’s availble outside of Korea, but either way, it’s sure to sell like hotcakes.

The Zebra also does standard DVDs and CDs in different file formats and burns DVD±R/RW and CDRW media,you can choose from a high speed eSATA connection or a combination eSATA and USB 2.0 interface, depending on what you need at the time. The ESATA version is going for $409 and $429 with the version that has USB 2.0 connectivity as well.

The Grab n go Recorder & Player personal video recorder, also known as the CM3PVR, is able to record all your favorite movies and TV shows on the included hard drive via its integrated analog TV tuner. The built-in scheduled recording feature allows you to program anything you would like to record, while its timeshift feature enables you to pause live television and record it. The Grab n Go is currently going for $550. You could safely say this is as good as Tivo or better.
