This reminds me of that alien navigation system from the District-9 movie :D

Dien December 3, 2009 at 9:23 pm

looks like a Homing Beacon with built-in WiFi to me..

Jonathan December 3, 2009 at 10:05 pm

It can be a cool hologram device, displaying the 3D object :D

Martin December 3, 2009 at 10:10 pm

I think it looks like a sleep-hypnosis watch. You can put everyone to sleep if you show this watch to them. :)

Devendra Vishnubhai Patel December 3, 2009 at 11:27 pm

I think its a device that shows the Rotation and Revolution of Earth. Indirectyl showing time and season from the earth’s Rotation and Revolution.

parthasarthi orpe December 3, 2009 at 11:41 pm

i think this would have been a device telling how much energy (calories) present in your body and how much need to be burned to achieve required goal.

James Diaz December 3, 2009 at 11:56 pm

By far the cooooolest watch i ever seen, gotta have it! :)

Michael Tran December 4, 2009 at 12:02 am

A device by which you turn the dial to your preferred number, watch as a hologram of a cybernetic entity talk to you in a strange language and then have the dial slowly tick to 0 for you to figure out what the entity was trying to say. If you fail, a green light emanates from the device, swallowing you into it to be trapped until the next person come and turns the dial to their preferred number.

Ki Kang December 4, 2009 at 12:06 am

If that watch wasn’t actually a time-telling device, it could be a portable time machine that creates its own worm hole that hurdles you into the near future or the past.

Chris Dozier December 4, 2009 at 12:07 am

I think it would be the latest in tricorder technology….

to boldly go where no one has gone before.

albertom December 4, 2009 at 1:08 am

…a cool hypnotizer wrist device.

Richard Neumann December 4, 2009 at 1:11 am

We are the borg. Resistance is futile!

Erik December 4, 2009 at 2:10 am

It’s more than just a time telling device, it’s a Droid!

Ranga December 4, 2009 at 5:18 am

It would be some flux capacitor from the future in the form of a watch, either that or a cool spy gadget.

Gerald December 4, 2009 at 5:21 am

No its a portal into the psyche, linking the ID, the ego and the super ego into one accessible form for the user to understand without complexity…

Courtney December 4, 2009 at 6:21 am

This looks like the Omnitrix from the cartoon Ben 10 it allows you to transform into a variety of aliens with different powers.

Thomas Balogh December 4, 2009 at 6:23 am

If it wasn’t a time-KEEPING watch, it’d be a Time Dilation Watch! Selecting the outer ring on the touch-screen display, you can compress or expand time in your part of the timeline, effectively causing a slowing or speeding up of time from your point of view. The inner ring displays the power within the watch. If you run out of power in the watch to continue to speed up or slow down time, you could have some adverse side-effects such as a permanent slowing or speeding of time, or even leave time in a state of uncontrollability, as the device looses it’s grasp of reality, causing you to permanently be suspended outside of the normal timeline!! Eat your heart out, Dr. Brown!!!

Devendra Vishnubhai Patel December 4, 2009 at 6:28 am

A device thats shows the leve of energy left in body. It also shows when the body is asking for more energy(food), when it requires rest and morever it also tells whenever energy is consumed more than it should be.

Dee Yan December 4, 2009 at 7:37 am

It could be the desire-telling device, GREEN light color for normal desire, it’s going RED if you have strong desire to something, and if you don’t have desire it will going BLUE…….

Richard. L. December 4, 2009 at 10:06 am

it would obviously be a portal generator that creates wormholes allowing the wearer to travel through space and time at any moment.

Mick December 4, 2009 at 11:04 am

It’s some sort of power-flow meter for Tony Stark’s arc reactor of course

Gaurav December 4, 2009 at 12:00 pm

Leaving time-telling, I think it would be a time-travel machine. Just look at the rings, move them around to represent the time and date you wanna go to. Then the rings would spin around really fast, the surroundings fade, you focus on the watch, then poooofff… like the movie Back to the Future, you find yourself zapped to another time.

To sum it up, it’d be your personal Delorean time machine, just that its in a watch not in a car.

For a more realistic idea, I’d say it could be a holographic projector like the one which the Clone troopers use in Star Wars to receive orders from Emperor Palpatine.

Aj Chua December 4, 2009 at 12:58 pm

A Vitality Resource Drive Data wrist device (VRDD), which tell your current heart rate, and all other health problems or vital condition, it can also sync to any device or weapons such as a hand gun or a rifle and will tell how many bullets you have left every time you fire. It can also sync to any device such as ipod and will tell it’s battery’s life span, mostly daily usage of digital resource are mostly syncable. =D

Tai December 4, 2009 at 1:22 pm

You are Snake, and this is your trusty Health Meter watch. The large outer ring is Your HP meter, the inner ring is your remaining stamina, the most smaller outer ring is the enemy/boss Health, and the smallest ring under the health is your camouflage index.

pedro garcia December 4, 2009 at 1:36 pm

The matrix’s enter button

Stephen December 4, 2009 at 1:53 pm

Okay, this is really lame! But if you’ve ever seen the show Dragon Ball… This watch looks just like the Dragon Radar. Makes me want to go on an adventure for mystic balls. (Uh… the wish granting sort that doesn’t come in pairs.)

Fadel December 4, 2009 at 2:18 pm

This looks alot like an “Omnitrix”.

Brandy B. December 4, 2009 at 2:35 pm

I would have to say that this watch could be genetic compatibility finder! Maybe you are searching for that perfect match in a mate? Wear this on your wrist, and it will pinpoint the best match from a crowd!! Wouldn’t that be a great gift to all? At least to those that are single.

Jim J. December 4, 2009 at 8:04 pm

What would the above pictured watch be if it wasn’t a time telling device?

I believe it is a native wedding gift of fertility for the indigenous Na’vi that live on the moon Pandora. (See the movie Avatar)
Although similar to a time telling device, the ‘Imought’ is thought to show the hormonal levels of all three parties involved in reproduction. As alien as it sounds, one could lay the claim that it resembles a mix of the game ‘rock-paper-scissors’ and a ‘mood ring’ on Earth. All three participants meet under the two full sub-moons and display their three Imought’s in turn. It usually starts with all three units boldly displaying the symbol for ‘Imought’ and can take days before one of the units detects the subtle change in one of the Na’vi. When this happens, all three devices signal that the time has arrived, announcing to all three the following “Imought, Imought, Imnought” . The rest is too speculative to comment on.

Ashley December 4, 2009 at 9:00 pm

It would be a personal compass/navigation system to guide you to any destination…. in any galaxy.

Abdullah December 4, 2009 at 9:10 pm

Its a BOMB, so if stolen it detects your RFid and if it does not correspond you get Zapped.

Kevin December 4, 2009 at 10:56 pm

It’s the menu screen to 007! you can select all your weapons from it.

Pankaj December 5, 2009 at 2:43 am

For me it seems like it’s a “Teleportation Beam Projector Machine” from future. Twist the dial set the time and place & the bean will create a gate or tunnel; get into it see you are at you destination. Cool in your imagination I really wish to do that……………..

Jesse J December 5, 2009 at 2:51 am

A lie detector

MAS December 5, 2009 at 8:46 am

I guess its a kind of eco device , it may calculate the poisonous gases in the air . In brief , an environment friendly device .

Dill December 5, 2009 at 10:04 am

The new iPhone, well that would be weird having a phone on you wrist… unless it has to have an ear piece, and its touch sensitive, possibly a holographic viewer like those messages in Star Wars, or maybe along the lines of what they did in Iron Man. To add to this, but with those squares it also looks like is has to be a device to be able to hack in to things, like something a spy would use. So what I am saying is that it is pretty much everything… on your wrist (sorry if this is cheating).

shahriar December 5, 2009 at 12:44 pm

Well I guess it’d be:”A LASER-GUIDED TARGET-DETECTING DEVICE”which would analyze the exact location of different obstacles and even living organisms-according to it’s menu.It would serve as an assistant device for detecting the precise location of targets for binoculars or telescopes or any tracking device, and also gives a 3D analysis of the location, height and even the shape of the obstacle…

That’d be a cool device

monkeyhammar December 5, 2009 at 6:16 pm

It’s a long-range warp device, just set your destination and you’re off.

Roger Ragbirsingh December 5, 2009 at 8:09 pm

It would be a Time Portal device.

WARREN December 6, 2009 at 1:17 am

WATCH,HANDS FREE PHONE,GPS , BLOOD PRESSURE MONITER , SUGAR MONITER .

G_uillaume_S December 6, 2009 at 9:15 am

it would be for the police, when they intercept a criminal, they just have to put his finger on the screen and his fingerprint will be scanned and recognised and every information will be available for the police at the moment, it will also show his drug and alcohol level when they drop a drop of blood on the screen. OR its an all round home device, the front door opens automatically if you want to come in, you be able to acces every device in your house, even close curtains and select music by voice command or just by selecting it on the screen, its like those new universal remote controls, but way more accesible and with more functions, wifi and phone functions will be ofcourse examples of the many other applications on the watch ( downloadable applications via wifi )

Vldfunn1 December 6, 2009 at 12:52 pm

a device used by secret agents to encode top secret files

nirjhar Pan December 6, 2009 at 11:32 pm

a multifunctional watch which not only showing time, date, year, moon phase, solar positions, wind speed, weather conditions also indicates speed,BP,biological and mental states of the user.

Jim S December 7, 2009 at 2:15 pm

This is actually a device that allows the user to program the timed accomplishment of personal goals – with ring width representing importance and priority, and ring color and closure representing the discrete steps towards accomplishment. The device crystal is actually a biometric reader that can be custom-programmed for the owner – simply touching the sapphire crystal surface activates a submenu that controls security settings and wi-fi connectivity to a pc. Custom software synchronizes with the device and allows the user to set goals and targets. The device is configurable to change ring color if goals fall behind target.

What better way – to see at a glance – exactly where you are with what you want to accomplish in your life! And for the traditionalist – the device can be configured to display conventional digital or analogue time by double-tapping the crystal face.

Kevin December 7, 2009 at 9:32 pm

its a pre-ipod Apple’s canceled prototype…the black iWatch
it has a multibody-construction made with not one but 20 blocks of steel!!
you cant listen to music, cant watch videos BUT you can play the wonderful retro version of Vortex!!

…and there isnt an app for this

Lucian December 8, 2009 at 4:00 am

Its a screensaver for a mobile phone

Ben December 8, 2009 at 5:53 am

These are the watches that scientists have been wearing in order to help them calculate when the sun’s solar flares are beginning to effect the magnetic field which will cause the North and South Poles to flip in 2012. At least, that’s what the watch is telling us…

Duane December 8, 2009 at 8:11 am

Obviously – This is like the compass from Pirates of the Caribbean – It point to that which you most want!

Duane December 8, 2009 at 8:13 am

It’s the Little Orphan Annie Secret Decoder Watch ! (From Christmas Story)

Duane December 8, 2009 at 8:15 am

It’s the Bluetooth output screen from your Tricorder !

As Data from Star Trek would sing – “Life forms, Life forms, I love to hunt little life forms!”

Duane December 8, 2009 at 8:16 am

Hmmm – Isn’t there a map for this?

Duane December 8, 2009 at 8:18 am

It’s the Family Locator. Each ring shows the direction of family members wearing “sync’d” Locators.

Duane December 8, 2009 at 8:22 am

It’s a stock and 401K ticker! Each square represents the realtime status of a stock and the cool touch screen lets you zoom in on any details.

Duane December 8, 2009 at 8:24 am

This could actually be done….. Blue tooth dialing and caller ID interface to your cell phone. Between this and your earpiece, you never have to get the phone out of your pocket/purse.

Don’t forget the induction charger that you put next to your keyboard so that it recharges while you are at your computer – without removing it or connecting wires.

Sandra December 8, 2009 at 8:58 am

Actually I think its a special piece of technology that makes peoples imagination work as it gives a big space for their creativity. It could be an all-seeing eye, something like Mad-Eye Moody from HP has. Or a radar which shows the location of your enemy or someone special. Anyway, the mystique look of it makes people suspicious and they start to imagine about all the possibilities of its function. To sum up: it activates people:)

Scott December 8, 2009 at 1:52 pm

This looks like a device that counts how many girls that a person has gotten.

Caren December 8, 2009 at 8:48 pm

If it weren’t a time telling device, it would be a time travel device. Something that futuristic must have such an unusual function!

Caren December 8, 2009 at 8:57 pm

Now that I look at it, the watch could be imagined as a portable lie detector. The subject nonchalantly aims the watch towards the subject and if it senses a lie from that direction, the green background turns a warning red. What a great thing to have handy when buying a used car, among other things!

Jake McClanahan December 8, 2009 at 9:15 pm

That thing would play all of my music utilizing an expanding holographic screen. But more importantly that button on the side sets off a reasonably strong EMP, just in case I need to create some chaos for a quick get away.

maimai December 9, 2009 at 12:49 am

its a keep-all/carry-all travel device. it alters molecular composition of objects and things thus, allowing the wearer to place/keep objects inside the bracelet. oh, the green lights would be the capacity indicator. goodbye bulky bags! hello mobility! :D

Jay December 9, 2009 at 12:53 am

if it wasn’t a time telling device it would be your all around key.. to your car, your office, your house etc… it could be a PDA or a great bracelet with a green light.

Masse December 9, 2009 at 3:40 am

Surely it’s an indispensable washing machine emulator and remote control!

Ferdinand Angeles December 9, 2009 at 4:39 am

It’s an all-in-one future device that tells me everything – except time.

The outer ring of small dots tells me about my boss’ blood sugar level. The ring of large blocks tells me the number of times that I circled the parking lot to find a space for my car, the position of the gap indicates the exact location of available parking spaces in parking lots miles away. The inner ring of blocks tells me how much my wife is spending using her credit card (the only function I need very badly at present). A press of a button gives those rings of blocks another sets of useless functions for today’s earthlings but are very useful for tomorrow’s human beings and aliens alike.

Tim December 9, 2009 at 9:57 am

The blueprints to redesign Stonehenge – paying homage to PacMan.

Duane December 9, 2009 at 12:00 pm

Pointer to find a micro locator installed on the car keys, the TV remote, the darned cordless phone and the babies’ binky in middle of the night.

Warren December 9, 2009 at 3:05 pm

Darn, if it isn’t an eye scanner

Johan December 9, 2009 at 11:08 pm

It is an Alien device that will turn me into a superhero….

Christian Gutierrez December 9, 2009 at 11:22 pm

I would look at it as an eco friendly plasma projector, that may cross laser beams causing a refraction that can be measured by taking off the faceplate or the wrist device. When on your eye looks through the glass of the eyepiece then it reads the light that it read from the laser from the watch and can create a large screen that only you can see since each eyepiece is different from others, to prevent peaking. Also so you dont have to worry about not using personal files. The different green circles would spin a different speeds and lights to create the infared/ hologram only visible with the special eyepiece that is connected to the faceplate. It also can contact emergency services when in need of medical assistance, the device automatically sends all medical info to the medical unit as well as the hospital. It constantly keeps track of vitals and can be used as a defibulator. If other people around can help. The wrist device will flash red and voice out commands as to tell bystanders how to help. It also works as a gps that can mount to the hood of the car and spreads infared waves at night and radiowaves in day, with the eyepiece aka faceplate on your eye it absorbs the type of radiowaves or infa red and creates an array of arrows along the bottom of the street or where you are driving, in other words it helps you to drive and give directions. Its band is made of titanium alloy mixed with a carbon poly magnesium base ceramic frame with an aerogel base for light weight, but in a honeycomb pattern to prevent any damage. The faceplate is made of replicated diamond, or smashed up condensed carbon base substance, like that space craft with the diamond window. And the device would be able to sync with all household utilities based with the same interface. It is basically one small remote for your life. It monitors your growth and your diet. What you need for your essential health. It helps you remember what you forgot, like when you go to shop or something and you know what you want but you forget the name, it will read your brain waves and scan the world database and come up with a logical answer to what you were thinking of. It has a touch sensitive wrist band so when you dive you cant use the touch screen you can tap the touch receptive panels on the watch. However the device has no need for charging, it simply can either be charged wirelessly (My idea by the way dont copy wireless charging ) by small transmitters in the house which gather electricity from solar panels. The watch also has strong liquid solar technology that are in side of the watch that get charged by sunlight and moving around; shaking. It feels what you feel, the colors can be changed in system prefs. and every time you feel an emotion it can council you talk about it of go along with it. It may even save your life if you are the suicidal type. It is as if it is the brother you never had. It is fun and interactive. It takes photos transmits video conferences and you can even design your own apps for it. This eliminates the need for any electronics, as long as you have this baby on you are good for life!! when you return home, your watch will create its own magnetic field and lift off your hand if you ask it to. It will fly into your house turn on whatever you want and fly into its docking station. It then remains there until you want it to preform an action. If you ask it to do something, your fully automated fridge (If you have one) will get you the drink you crave if you only think of it. You can also leave your child at home . the watch reads your motion and using a robotic arm you are able to transmit your movement to the robotic arm and play. You also have the capability to play action games such as spin the device hide and go seek, tag, virtual war which enables you to be in a fully automated holographic urban environment playing halo or the likes……three d!!!! you can also upload homework and have it test you. It constantly asks you questions to boost your learning capabilities. This device also prevents you or anyone from harming you, when you are harmed the watch goes into alert mode alerting authorities and ramming itself into the attacker! it can automatically change its density and gravatational pull on other objects by creating gravity fields using its energy to act as a negative force to neutralize your gravity. As long you have the sun or wiereless charge you wont fall out of the sky due to battery loss. It can change color and automatically preform AI mode where a male/female face appears and talks and does whatever you like. When friends come over your watches can communicate and play together,,,, thus to make your watch more realistic it takes a sliver of your DNA and bases its programming, like a mini you so it can better understand you. It can communicate with the other persons device and if it is your crush it can figure out what your best move is by analyzing you and your lover!!! You never need to carry school books again !!!! your device has any learning supplies automatically uploaded into your device…..You can even name your device. You can tell it to preform something and only responds to your given name, to prevent the device from getting confused you can only set certain peoples voice to be recognized. Best of all it can transform into a little spider android and just have fun like your own pey, it can feed your dogs water , clean the house, it prevents the need for those lame one purpose
bots such as the one that just cleans the carpet, its ok but I know this will be the bot of the future….
PS: My mac book broke from some guy who threw a ninja star at it(SHURIKEN) hard to believe but its true. Thats where all my christmas money is going towards. I am an all out techie and I would love that beautiful sexy watch up there, I never won anything before, Im drooling over that watch its just so awesome I love watches what else would a twelve year old want on his christmas/birthday, trust me I take care of my stuff……… That watch looks like something that will make me taller because im kind of short.
Excuse me for all of the typing errors I was a little short on time….if I tie with someone else just e mail me and I will make a 33 paged one , If i loose is there anything I will try to buy it if i can onegashimasu!!!
I need this more than anything!!!

Ki Kang December 9, 2009 at 11:40 pm

“Beam me up Scotty”… teleportation device would be perfect for this!

This looks like a device that Q would give 007 to break into a Vault of some kind.

Oliver December 10, 2009 at 7:30 am

This might be a portable energy emitting device; it allows you to reheat your lunch whenever you spend your break away from the office, to prepare hot water for tea in cold winter nights at a busstop in the middle of nowhere, to defrost your car door or just to support global warming if your homeplace is to far away from the next beach.

John T. Gaddman December 10, 2009 at 8:24 am

It shows Magnetic Field around you. You need that when you research Aurora Borealisis.

Lila December 10, 2009 at 10:27 am

Beyond the transdimensional, multiuniversarial travelling component, with integrated networking with your implanted brain chips (of course to provide that telescope/microscope vision, alternate reality HUD, etc), it would give you the added benefit of allowing you to attend class, work, home as a clonal hologram, replicating you in your desired destination. So, journey on, intrepid traveller through the cosmos as you dutifully complete the most mundane tasks second-handedly.

Besides that, it’s shiny, and a friendly conversation piece.

Asphyxiated December 10, 2009 at 11:30 pm

Well I’m a few minutes late, but to me, what this watch would be is a multi-functional watch. Each of the little green boxes represents some thing or another. One of them could be, for example, a way to check on where you’re at in the world. While the next one could be a portal into another universe. Heyy, the box before that one comes in handy now. Well what if you were teleported to an underwater place? You could press another box and a working hologram bubble would form around your head along with an air supply. While another could be an inter-dimensional translator. Basically, every one of them that you press would do something different. And some of them could be your personal holograms. Ones that could actually be used. And so forth.
One of them could even tell you the time! Eh, how about that? ;P
