Texas Instruments Unleash OMAP4

Texas Instruments has announced their new OMAP4 chip. This next generation mobile applications processors will feature dual, SMP-capable ARMv7-based cores, along with C64x DSPs, multi-format hardware accelerators, a “programmable” graphics engine, and an “image signal processor” (ISP). Supporting up to 20MP sensors, the chip will also allow for recording and playing back video at 1080p and offer a week of audio playback time. Pricing and availability are still unknown. [Ubergizmo]
