Nvidia Quadro Plex

If you think you had the coolest graphics card around, think again! The Nvidia Quadro Plex is an external box designed for large-scale 3D processing. The system uses a pair of high-end Nvidia Graphics Cards at their core (two Quadro FX 5800 GPUs and 8GB of RAM), but it also uses special PCI Express card that supports another extra two GPUs making a total of 4 GPUs. The Plex is aimed at large CGI animation companies, such as Pixar and DreamWorks Animation. Professionals, ranging from manufacturing designers and stylists to earth scientists to digital content creators can solve their most complex, graphics-intensive problems using this proven, industry standard architectures.
