Toshiba To Release Two New Hard Drives

Toshiba has recently announced the world’s first 2.5-inch hard drive with 320GB storage capacity. Known as the MK3253GSX, the hard drive offers the industry’s highest areal density per platter, at 200.1 gigabits per square inch. The device also sports 5400rpm speed, 12ms average seek time, 8MB buffer, 759MB/sec media transfer rate, and 3Gbps SATA interface. The company also rolled out a high-end MK-49GSY series with 200GB capacity, 7200rpm speed and 16MB buffer. The firm will release these hard drives in November.
