Word has it that Amazon will launch the Kindle Touch in the near future thanks to Amazon’s acquisition of multi-touch display manufacturer Touchco. For your info, Touchco’s touchscreen technology is designed to be cheap (under $10 a square foot) and uses a resistive display technology called interpolating force-sensitive resistance. This transparent display is able to detect an infinite number of simultaneous touches. Sadly, there is no official confirmation from Amazon about the Kindle Touch. Stay tuned for more updates.
