
Getting connected to the internet virtually from anywhere in the world is now become possible with the help of Verizon’s latest UMW190 USB modem. This wireless 3G USB modem operates on Dual-Band CDMA Revision A (Rev.A), Tri-Band UMTS/HSPA and Quad-Band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks providing global connectivity. Other features of the modem include a pre-installed sim card, a sliding cover, compatibility with Windows and a visual status indicator. The Verizon UMW190 USB World Modem will become available later this month for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year agreement. [Verizon via Phonemag]

This modem will not work in windows 7. I have gotten 2 cards now and restore a new laptop back to default configuration. I have spoken with the verizon rep multiple times and they don’t know what it is either.
