With a little voodoo magic Vudu might have a chance to kill Blu-ray. The Vudu BX100 now retails for $300, but that’s with $200 movie credit for a limited-time promotion. So basically you’re paying $100 for the machine, which allows you to tap to more than 1,100 HD and HDX movie rentals at $4-6 a pop. This is even more movies than what XBOX Live Marketplace and Apple iTunes offer at the moment. This is due to Vudu’s commitment to add 150 HD flicks per week in October, and it’s still going strong. So are you ready to jump to HD movie downloads or are you sticking with Blu-ray? [Crave]
