WD Launches Industry's First 2.5-inch 1TB Hard Drive

Western Digital today announced two new mobile hard drives from its Scorpio Blue series. Available in 750GB and 1TB of storage spaces, these HDDs are actually the industry’s highest-capacity 2.5-inch drives available in the market so far. The WD Scorpio Blue delivers high-performance with a 3 gigabits per second (Gb/s) transfer rate and a 12.5-mm form factor that is perfect for use in portable storage solutions, such as netbooks and nettops. The 750GB and 1TB models are priced at $189.99 and $249.99, respectively. [Engadget]
