Xiaomi has officially announced their newest tablet ‘Mi Pad 2’ in China. Coming in an all-aluminum body (6.95mm thick), this mid-range tablet has a 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 IPS LCD display, a 2.24GHz quad-core Intel Atom X5-Z8500 64-bit processor, an Intel HD Graphics, a 2GB RAM and a 16GB/64GB of expandable internal storage (up to 128GB).
Available in two different operating systems: Android Lollipop based MIUI or Windows 10 (64GB model), the Mi Pad 2 sports a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, an 8MP rear-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p Full HD video recording, a USB Type-C port and a 6190mAh battery.
Connectivity-wise, the Mi Pad 2 provides dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, WiFi Direct and Bluetooth 4.1.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will retail for 999 Yuan (about $156) for the 16GB model and 1,299 Yuan (about $203) for the 64GB model, respectively. [GSMArena]
