Yamaha BD-S2900 Blu-Ray Disc Player

Another good news related to Blu-ray realm, Yamaha’s BD-S2900 Blu-ray player is in stock and ready to ship next monday, August 25th. This exciting new player features 1080p/24fps-compatible HDMI video output with 12-bit Deep Color support that allows a whopping total of 68.7 billion possible colors. You also get to have 1080p playback for regular DVDs, photos and personal video data. Apparently Audioholics is the first Authorized Yamaha Internet Dealer to have the new Yamaha BD-S2900 Blu-Ray Player In Stock. The previous news had it the player will hit store as early as November. This time the player will also be available for $1000 or a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than we had expected. [AudioHolics]

The BD-S2900 cost too much compaired with other players. It lacks BD-Live, an Ethernet port to upgrade the firmware, and has no decoder for TrueHD and DTS Master Audio.
