Yamaha has announced their YSP-5100, which is a digital sound projector for your home theater system. Measuring 1,200mm × 90mm × 212mm and weighing 11kg, the device can be used with 50-inch HDTVs and video projectors. It supports 7.1 surround sound and is compatible with dts-HD, dts ES and Dolby TruHD/Digital Plus/Digital/ Digital EX/Pro Logic and Pro LogicII/x. Other features include five HDMI hubs, an iPod port and an additional sub-woofer connection. The Yamaha YSP-5100 will be available in Japan later this month for $2,280 each. [Yamaha]
