I paid $49.94 for new my scanner from Deals Direct in Australia after googling on Ebay., I am very happy with this product. It is compact, will scan 35 mm film negative or mounted slides. 5 Mega Pixels resolution. Gets power from a USB port. Works with Windows XP and Windows 7 Comes with Arcsoft Photoimpression software. Easy to use. Essential to read instruction book however. Scans slide, you can view it, saves to My Pictures. Photo can be edited with little problem. Excellent results. Slides can be copied to DVD.

Works OK with XP but will not work with Win7 64bit.
Since the driver is not digitically signed. It says cannot find scanner even though OVT is on the list. In device manager OVT has a yellow tag.
I am still looking for a solution

Hey Beth, you seem to be having success with the scanner so wondered if you could help me out. I recently purchased this but when I scan 35mm film it just comes up with the ‘negative’ looking colours (browns) rather than scanning in photo quality? Is there something basic that I am missing?? Hope you can help as I’m getting a little frustrated! Cheers.

I bought this digital scanner from deals direct and can’t even get the CD to install the program onto my laptop, can anyone help me with this?? When I put the CD in the CD-ROM drive the installation CD menu appears, I then click on ‘SCANNER DRIVER’ but nothing happens. I can hear the CD turning in the drive but thats as far as it goes.
